Five years ago, we set foot in Indonesia for the first time. It wasn't just a vacation for us, but a deep curiosity to explore the country and see if it would draw us in. And, boy, did it! We were absolutely smitten with the country, its people, and especially the islands of Raja Ampat. The people are amazing, the culture was fascinating, and the natural beauty was breathtaking.
Our journey first took us to Makassar, where we found ourselves in the middle of the city during the pandemic. It was a tough time, being stuck in lockdown for over a year, but we made the best of it by exploring the surrounding nature whenever we could.
As the pandemic started to ease, we knew we needed to find a new home. And there was only one place that we could think of - Raja Ampat! It was the perfect place to call home, with its tranquility, stunning nature, and friendly locals. The islands are like little paradises, surrounded by beautiful underwater nature, and offering some of the best diving spots in the world.
In no time, we decided to build a boat to share our love for Raja Ampat with others. We wanted to introduce others to the beauty and wonder of this magnificent place, and thus Luzo was born. We couldn't wait to show off the islands to anyone who would come along for the ride!
