Breeding male

The clownfish live in groups of male fish with one dominant female, a dominant male, and a group of smaller males. Young clown fish are always male. Eventually, the largest fish of the group becomes female. Within the males, the largest one will assume the role of breeding male. However, if anything happens to the female, the breeding male will permanently change to female.

You can find the clownfish at any reef in Raja Ampat.
