How to get to Raja Ampat?

Updated: May 28

First to Sorong

First you have to go to Sorong - Domine Eduard Osok Airport – SOQ

There are no direct international flights to Sorong. So you have to fly to Sorong from Jakarta, Makassar, Ambon, Manado or Bali.

From Sorong to Waisai by Ferry

Most flights arrive in Sorong in the morning and then you can take the morning Ferry to Waisai, so you don't have to stay a night in Sorong.

Once the plane has landed, you can take a taxi to the port and then take the ferry to Waisai. We will be waiting for you when you arrive in Waisai, and ready to start the tour with you.

For the return flight there are afternoon flights to Jakarta and Bali. If you take the morning ferry from Waisai to Sorong you will be at the airport no later than 12:30.

Ferry schedule

Sorong to Waisai : Daily 9:00 and 14:00

Waisai to Sorong : Daily 9:00 and 14;00

Cost for the Taxi is Rp.100,000 and the cost for the Ferry is Rp. 125,000 + Rp.12,000 tax, VIP tickets for the Ferry are Rp. 250,000

Book a flight ticket

You can use Traveloka, Tiket.com, or Skyscanner to check availability of flights from your departure point

Airport transfer

If you would like us to pick you up from the airport in Sorong, that is of course also possible, our colleague will wait for you and take you to the port. If you would like to use this, please let us know.

Pick up by Speedboats at Sorong

Maybe an option if you are in a hurry, we can pick you up by speedboat from the Marina harbor in Sorong. This is far more expensive (hundreds of dollars) and a lot less comfortable than the public ferries, take that into consideration.
